Radhashtami or Sri Radha Astami festival celedrated tha birthday of Radha. Radha Astami is observed on Astami thithi in shukla paksh during  Radhashtami 2012 date is 23 september.

Radha rani was born as that daughter of Raja Vrishabhano and rani Kirai. rsdha Rani was older to Lord Sri Krishna. Devotees believe that Radha was dedicated and devoted to Lord Krishna as she was not opened her eyes until Krishna was born on the Earth. Hindu scritures described that Radha and Sri Krishnas relation was a pure form of spirituality. Their sacres relationship and dedication towards eash other have great spiritual energy.

During the festivalof Radha astami, devotees worship Radha along with Lord sri Krishna. Devotees recite Radha stuthi on this day. Radha Ashtami festival is odserved mainly by Vashnava sect and especially in North Indian states.
